Size Guide

When you are pregnant you are best to measure underbust as this is the measurement that is least likely to change throughout the pregnancy. However please remember that these are maximum measurements. You may find that you put on a layer of fat on your back; this is storage for breast milk. Therefore if you are in early stages of pregnancy please allow for a slight increase in your measurements.

Please make your selection carefully prior to placing an order. We strive to provide excellent customer service and if you need help with sizing, please contact kath@topsecretmaternity.com. We will be happy to help you in any way that we can.

Note: If you feel you are in-between sizes or your bust cup measurement has increased during pregnancy, then it may be best to go up one size.

Sizing Questions:

"I'm a bra size 16FF"

Will your tanks fit me?

Yes, and to help you decide we have decided to compare our built-in shelf bra to your normal maternity bra.

Questions via Instagram - @breedams85 Do you find these true to size Tara? Also do you feel supported/lifted in the singlets? Tempted to try theses. Thanks! @cohenjandharveyj_ definitely true to size. I'm a size 14 in this brand. This style the Nelly is a looser fit around the tummy so a bit more flowy but still fits perfect up the top. The other style (the Sahara) I have is more like a normal singlet so tighter around the stomach. They are super supportive. I'm a DD and don't need to wear bras when I wear them. They have an extra layer on the inside the pulls everything up :) I live in these tops :)

This guide's aim is to help you when comparing your cup size.  Please be mindful that a D cup in one brand maybe a C cup etc in another brand. We have put the guide together with our experience of selling these tanks and from our customer feedback.

Some mums busts will increase by up to four cups sizes during pregnancy and other mums will hardly get a bust increase at all.

Do I need to wear nursing pads with your nursing tops?

During the early stages of breastfeeding most mums will experience excess milk production and you may have leaky breasts too. You may need to invest in nursing pads to protect our garments from wetness and stains.

Nursing pads are available in all sorts of shapes, sizes and thicknesses, and can be purchased in a disposable or eco-friendlier washable fabric type pads.

Post birth excess milk can leak for around 8 weeks and usually once your breastfeeding routine is established you’ll most likely find that you won’t need pads anymore when wearing our nursing garments.
